Black widow is a superhero adventure film with plenty of action set between Captain America, the Civil War, and the Avengers.
Natasha “Black Widow” Romanoff, played by Scarlett Johansson, was a spy for the KGB from childhood until the fall of the Soviet Union, ultimately becoming an Avenger. While being chased by a dangerous new opponent, she reconnects with her antagonized sister-figure (Florence Pugh) and fight with her dead and buried. Along the way, she teams up with Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), the Red Guardian (David Harbour), and Melina Vostokoff (Rachel Weisz), all of whom provide outstanding performances. The picture begins on a high note, with an opening sequence that I never expected to see in a Marvel film. At the start, there are scenes of childhood damage and human trade, which is surprising given Disney and Marvel’s family and friendly reputations. The storyline and character presentation are superb at the start of the film, with a continual feeling of risk present at all times.
Before the film takes place, a certain level of suspense is eliminated, such as whether Natasha will live, and violence is frequent and occasionally extreme in this picture. There is a lot of physical combat (mostly with knives), ignition, great danger, shoot-outs, and knife in this film. Characters use words like “bitch” and “s—t,” and they drink alcohol in self-restraint. The feminist story of the film is ultimately about supporting women’s freedom from those who feel women are there to be utilized. Characters show strength and work together, and there are familial issues that may relate to watchers who have been through adoption, foster care, or emotions of desertion. And, as you’d expect from a Marvel picture, there are exhilarating action moments, hilarious banter, ordinary villains, and great performances throughout.
Issues with black widow film
Sadly, Black Widow does not depart from the standard Marvel movie template, even though it is still entertaining. I’m not implying that Black Widow is a terrible film. It is, however, not unlike the majority of today’s superhero films, as well as other Marvel films and T.V shows. Even though Marvel Studios has created a material that is distinct and creative, such as Loki and Wanda Vision, Black Widow does not appear to stand out from the crowd as shown in the second half of the movie. Even if it is thrilling until it reaches that stage, it just feels like a regular Marvel film that an ordinary viewer may easily forget in the long run. Unfortunately, there aren’t as many scenes in the movie when you’re rooting for the characters as there were in Avengers.
Recommendation of black widow film
However, Black Widow may have been a lot better picture if the film’s creators had chosen not to follow the usual Marvel movie pattern.
